Numera emulates the numerical capabilities of the C programming language to some extent, but you do not have to be a programmer to use Numera. When people gain a small amount of proficiency with Numera, we notice they use Numera whenever they can, and tend to use their hand-held calculators and spreadsheets less. Having said that, we should say that Numera is not intended to replace hand-held calculators and spreadsheets, but rather, to enhance your set of calculation tools.
A dynamic range of people, 3rd graders, grandmothers, scientists and engineers use Numera, and most are not programmers, at least they think they're not. Actually, we naturally program every day, in our thought processes and decision-making.
When people, especially young children, learn to use this kind of logic, it benefits them the rest of their lives.
NumeraÂ#s word-processor interface lets you naturally write mathematical, fraction and graphing expressions, and those expressions can be saved as files and re-opened at a later date and modified, just like word-processor files.
